Often when the moving dark blue ocean converges with the rivers of the world that bring water to the seas, there is a split where the freshwater and the saltwater meet. The various densities of the different waters don’t permit them to blend well, which is known as brackish. Within this portrait, you can see the manner in which nature has portrayed the possibility of river water and seawater conflicting together and attempting to blend, just to have that separation made increasingly obvious.
